Our head chef, Harmoni Waine, uses the finest local seafood, meat and vegetables, when available, to achieve exceptionally high standards of quality and fresh dishes using the very best ingredients.
Here at The New Inn, we serve a range of award-winning Palmers Real Ales fit for the season and the best lagers all year round. Hand-in-hand with our reputation for food, we are equally well-known for our great-tasting beer, well-kept cask ales and overall meticulous attention to detail to ensure our beverages taste as good as they possibly they can.
We also offer a varied selection of premium-brand and local spirits, a carefully chosen list of white, red and rose wines, popular fruit juices and even non-alcoholic bottled beer.

We have two double rooms with en-suite facilities. Please note the rooms are on the first floor and there is no lift access.
Both rooms are decorated to the same high standard. Tea and coffee making facilities, central heating with digital flatscreen TVs are available in both rooms.
A delicious home-cooked breakfast made from fresh and locally sourced ingredients awaits you in the morning.

Paul, Kate and the team would like to welcome you to The New Inn, located in the picturesque village of Shipton Gorge. We are a family and dog friendly country pub that specialises in traditional pub food, using local produce and suppliers with a wide selection of home-made starters, mains and desserts on offer.
Our 'Secret Garden' is the perfect place to relax this summer with a pint of real Palmers Ale or a chilled glass of wine from our extensive wine list. In the winter, relax by our log burner in the bar with a cup of coffee and a slice of home-made cake.
When faced with permanent closure the village residents reached an agreement with Palmers to take on the pub which re-opened in 2006. The village locals came together to support their much loved pub and keep it open as the hub of their community.
